anyone heard of it? supposedly it only takes 48 days from seed to harvest

Thats just what I heard the strain is designed to grow quickly, flower, and produce a decent yeild in a shorter span. Do you actually know about Ak48?

AK48 can finish in as little as 48 days in optimal conditions.

No one agrees on what it is, Some say Nirvana got some Serious Seeds AK47 and made seeds from those and that is what it is.

Others say that it is a Nirvana cross of White Widow and Ice. It was an attempt to make something stronger than AK47 and failed.

It is supposed to be strong but not as strong as AK47.

I'm growing it right now so in about 3 months Ill be able to tell ya how it grows and smokes. The 48 doesnt mean that it will take 48 days from seed to finish, it can take as little as 48 days to finish flowering from when you cut the lights back. As for the 1 gram thing it is reportedly a very good yielder, someone on either this website or cannagraphic said he got 5 oz. off each plant vegging for one month.

It doesn't have anything to do with AK-47, it is a cross between Ice and Jock Horror from what I understand, getting its Indica tendencies from the Ice and it's high from the Jock Horror. Like I said though this is just stuff that I read and will have some actual experiences with it in about 3 months.

^^^^^ all of what he said. i grew it, flowered about 9 weeks before i chopped and that was with quite a few amber trichs, pretty potent and easy to grow. I only got about an ounce off each of my 2 plants with a 250 hps but i messed them about quite a bit so it was to be expected

Soil is my own mix of Sandy loam topsoil, perlite, horse manure, chicken manure, and some organic nutes with mycorrihzae. Im growing 3 AK48 and 3 Afghan both from Nirvana, they have been vegging for about 2 weeks. Started with 4 40w softwhite CFLs which caused a bit of stretching and somewhat slow growth, put them under a 400w MH 5 days ago when it arrived. Transplanted from their 12 oz cups to 1 gallon pots sunday afternoon, so they should be over the shock and start growing better again today.
