While it is true, that the hps is in the correct spectrum for flowering.
An MH flowered crop will be very good.
Don’t feel you need to run out and get an HPS, if you don’t have one. Many fine growers prefer MH for flowering.

Peace

I'm pretty sure that if he's running a 600 watt "Halide" he is already using a conversion lamp. From my knowledge, there is no straight across the board 600 MH lamp on the market.

Or did I miss it?

good luck

I have flowered under a MH lamp, in fact one of my four lights is a MH right now. It works just fine man, I've never noticed a difference but people claim it doesn't come out as dense. Buy an HPS after your harvest, but for now don't worry about a thing man.

I flowered under a 1000w mh, and it turned out great. If you want too, just get the "warm" mh bulb.

here is a quote from USERFRIENDLY

"people change to hps because they don't know any better. Its what someone told them was correct. The red light is going to grow slightly bigger LESS POTENT buds because the trichomes/resin is dilluted by the slightly bigger nugs. The rise in plant material is not proportionate to the rise in trichomes. The halides pump out uvb which force the plant to insulate and protect themselves with more trichomes/resin. Believe that. If you want connoisseur nugs, you grow with halides."

i use 3 bulbs in my grow 150w hps, 125w cfl flowering spectrum and 150w mh

i have noticed in my grow that the two plant closest the mh light have got more trics on them than the ones closest to the hps
