Here is my papaya grown under a 400w mh from start to finish. It is a regular mh and not a dual spectrum type. Seems fine to me.

that papaya looks so dense with trichs . thats what ive heard they may not be the biggest buds but they will definatly be the strongest they can be! if you grow that any bigger the trichs would be more spread out so it would be fatter but weaker ya know??? i think im going for the gusto with the mh!

Why don't yall try flowering with MH for first two weeks then HPS for four weeks then back to MH for the last weeks that way they get nice resin boost at start then size boost and then an extra resin boost at the end

Thats my plans anyways i'll let yall know how it goes. switchn 2 HPS this week for 4

oh yea definetly hps for flowering mh blue white spectrum promotes a vigorous growth indicative to a veg state while the hps give more orangeish redish spectrum more indicative to the flowering stage

I use mh to stunt the stretch that makes sativas spindly in most cases. Seems to work and have had equal luck with hps just a little stretchy. I was always told if you can only have 1 light to get hps. Mh seem to be way more affordable to purchase anymore.
