Hey...
So, I started around 20 plants from seed. It's been almost 3 weeks now and I still haven't sexed them. I was thinking that instead of sexing them, then pushing them back into veg state, I would just let them go another week or so, then, by keeping a vigilant eye, start budding and weed out the males, leaving the rest. To me, this makes more sense and helps to avoid an unneeded, potentially stressful situation for them.
Does this sound like a good idea, or it is really a necessity to sex them early on then process?

Ok Dr, I see this question a lot on RIU. A definitive answer would be nice:
The first and second set of real leaves turning yellow around three weeks into a soil grow. Lack of nutes?

You can keep the fluorescent lights a inch or two above the plants as long as the flouros are not t5's(they can get warm and hurt the seedlings). I start my seedlings under fluorescents for the first two weeks with just plain water-at the end of the 2 weeks I move them under a 400HPS. Some growers start there seedlings right from day one with HPS/MH lighting but you need to have ample distance between the lighting and seedlings I would start at 2 1/2 to 3 feet above the canopy if you choose to use your MH from the start but the choice is yours.

I went through your journal to try to get a picture of what is going on----I was only able the pull up the first set of pics of the passion #1--It is showing a deficiency not over-fert---I understand that you are using 100% coco-------why are you flushing all the time? Have you checked your runoff PH and ppm's.Where are they at from that Passion #1 plant?

So your talking about putting them under 12/12 at week three to find the sex out?
----- the back and forth light switch is not good for the plants. If you are only growing the 20 plants out why not wait till they show sex and cull the males out or put them all into flowering and cull the males out when they show signs?
