I was afraid of that. Damn.

Besides spraying with copper, I picked off every bit of bud and leaf that I could find that looked like the fungus had hit it. I also moved the plants indoors to keep them warmer and drier. So far I don't see any additional damage. Maybe I'll luck out but right now I'm not counting on anything.

Garlic. I wouldn't have thought of that. I'll do a search to see how to apply it.

Maybe that sulphur burner will come in handy if I ever get serious and if I keep my grows indoors. Right now I'm a newbie with three plants and I don't think I'm ready for that. Thanks, though. I didn't even know things like that existed.

I have to make a hard decision this weekend. My baby has bud rot, and all my tries at picking off the crud and keep it from spreading by using copper fungicide aren't working.

I've read and read and the advice is all over the place. Keep the humidity down, keep the air circulating 24/7, get rid of the plant, use silicone, pick off the effected bud, cut off the entire branch or just give up and pray it doesn't spread to the other two plants.

I think I'm going to start by cutting off the top three inches of my poor baby cause that's where the worst rot is. I'll also do that on any stems where I see rot.

Any other advice?

If I'm careful to cut away all the fungus, can I use the parts of the plant I cut off? Some of the advice I've read says yes.

Should I separate this plant from the others. If I do, the only option is to put it outside where the weather is really crap.

If I keep it inside and keep the fan blowing on it, won't the spores spread to the other plants, even if I make sure the breeze points away from them?

HELP. It's just killing me that my first plant, that I nursed all summer long, is dying like this.

Yeah, believe me we feel your pain! The hardest thing for a farmer to do is throw away his crop, that he has worked for months to produce.

Yes, cut away the bud rot. Leave the plants as they are, to continue flowering. When you harvest, cut away all budrot, or it will continue to spread during drying. After drying, whatever bud you have that doesn't have fungus will be fine.

Be very gentle and careful when you cut that stuff off... have a plastic garbage bag near by so you can just drop the FUNGUS directly into the trash...
Treat that shit like toxic waste...

Don't disrupt it unnecessarily.. This can make the problem worse.. You don't want that spore living in your room....

sounds like a fungus or rot. pluck the leaves that are sick. pinch off any buds that look like this but until the green part of the buds turn black i don't think there is a problem. What's the humidity level, around 72-80 percent humidity is ok for budding but over that in the 90's will create bud rot and fuck your whole crop with black gushy shit.
