I Have A Plant Growing In A Pot Which I Leave Outside During The Day And Leave In During The Night. It Has Started To Get Pale Yellow Spot On It. CAN Someone Please Help Me As I Do Not Know What Has Caused This. I Have Checked For Bugs And Spiders And There Appear To Be None On There. Could This Be Caused By Over Watering?
No I just put tap water.. It has some slow feeding plant food in the soil, you know the little balls. Its only 4 weeks old and has been growing like a champ, even with those spots, they have been on there for about a week and half.
It never looks dry and I water when I notice the soil is dry, I stick my finger in the soil if its dry I water...
But now I am concerned because all the new leaves are coming out with yellow spots...
Potroast seems to think that the plant is to far into its flowering cycle to need a fertilizer that is so heavy in Nitrogen.. and he thinks that the slow release fertilizer in the soil MAY be enough for your plant...
His points are valid... yet... i stick with my current prescription.. LIGHT GREEN colored leaves are a sign of NITROGEN deficiency..
I also can not emphasize enough, the IMPORTANCE of diluting your fertilizer 2-4 times more than the boxes reccomendation.
And slow release fertilizer works for abut 2-3 months depending on the PLANT....
and finally.. if you PH your water to 6.5-7.0 things will reveal themselves and adjustments will be easy to make...
