yo i went to hydroponic store and i think dude try to hustle me.... i was gonna buy a hydroponic system and a 600 watt HID kit... he told me for the "waterfarm" $250 hydroponicsystem, and $400 for the HID kit, this is alot of money...right? the economy is fuked...taxing boy

i agree, i did all my shopping at HTG, you can get a 1000w HPS w/ MH conv. for $309 with an easy cool hood

If its the 8 unit waterfarm, thats not a bad deal. If its a name brand ballast and hood, than that is a decent price as well.

Growing is not cheap. I have well over $1,000 invested in mine, and it takes like $50-$100 in nutes every couple of weeks. It takes time, money, experience, and patience to grow good weed.

You can get a kit 600watt kit for like $125 shipped from htg. Their bulbs are fine and are $50, but their reflectors are crap. Buy a decent reflector like an xtrasun or hydrofarm. Its going to run you like $300, unless you're air cooling it, in which case you need a fan, and thats another $100 or so.
