Default Clones not looking great..pictures
Got these ladies about 36 hours ago from a friend... who got them from a friend of a friend type deal. I know a person who is growing the same strain right now, only the clones he was given (same source) were all over 6 inches tall. Some of the clones I was given were pretty tall, but some of them look quite undeveloped. Root structure on some of the clones was great, super long..nice thick white roots. Others, not so much...but as a whole the root structures looked okay. Here are a few pictures. They have been in SunShine#4 for about 36 hours now, and are not bouncing back..in fact, some look worse. They just look frail and weak.. and as you can see a few even look dead. Any advice is appreciated. Not my first time doing this, but first time with this strain and I know some strains take longer to get going than others. These are Da Purps!

McGrupps, the leaf droop and curl gives me the impression that the air temp and humidity are too high. You're looking for about 24-27C @ 30-50% humidity for plants that have set root.

Could also be some overwatering going on, but I'm not seeing the characteristic yellowing of lower leaves one usually sees with overwatering.

14 days is about as long as it should ever take to get strikes. If it's taking longer, air temps or humidity could be too low or high, but the first culprit is usually overwatering. Whatever you're trying to set root in must be only damp- never, ever wet or saturated. If water occupies all the airspaces in the medium, you will get slow or no roots. Oxygen is required in the media for proper root development.

Nothing wrong with big clones, BTW. Mine are about 6-8" tall when I cut them. I get roots in 5-10 days max. I run a SoG op, where clones are put in to flower just as soon as they have some decent roots on them. Tall clones work better in this style of op.

Thanks for all the help gang. I gave em another nice dose of B1 earlier today.. and noticed a bit of mildew. That will be dealt with tomorrow, it is a small amount and will be dealt with. As if that was not enough, I also noticed a spider mite web on the top of one leaf... with all those little buggers running around...YIKES.

I just sprayed with Neem Oil about a half hour ago... raised my lights so the leaves don't burn and let's hope they look better tomorrow I guess.

I guess that explains the yellowing of a few leaves, though to be honest I could only find bugs on one single plant...I believe they must have travelled to others but I am having a hard time finding em. Keep yall posted.

Ahh, my first cycle went so damn smoothly, I honestly expected problems this time..but at least things are being dealt with quickly.

MGM, another thing that just struck me is the odd leaf habit in pic #3 in your first post.

It looks like these cuttings may have been taken from a plant which was in flower. You get odd stuff like that when trying to return a plant to veg which has been flowering. Cuttings taken from a flowering plant are also notoriously slow to set root.

Yep, the odd pedal patterns were a bit of a shock to me as well. I wish my original source for clones (the guy I've used everytime) was available for cutting this time. I guess this goes to show... if you want a job done right, do it yourself... soon enough I will be flowering two strains from my buddy. Sour Diesel and Purple Kush. I have grown both from him, and never received any damn bugs, or mutant like clones.
