I have had my plants that are about 2 months old on 12/12 for about 3 days and one is a female but the other hasnt showed sex yet. What would be a safe amount of time to leave them on 12/12 before i switch them back to 24 hours of light?

Sounds like he is trying to sex the plants. But if they're 2 months old they should be mature enough to start flowering anyway. Why not just leave them on 12/12?

not quite as big as i would like them im doing it on cfls and im going to switch to hps when flowering im just trying to figure out the sex so i can get more room under the lights.
