Ok, what I'm starting to think is the "time release" part of the Miracle Grow is starting to run out. Should I add cal/mag with a regular food? If so, should I add the food in a very "cut back" amount because the left over "time release" in the Miracle Grow? Any thoughts on what food (Name Brand) I should ad. Also where can I get cal/mag? Thanks...

man, i used MG for the majority of my current grow (1st grow ever), and it burned the fuck out of my plants when i added nutes to it. My advice is to change out your soil completely with some generic potting soil, and then add in your own nutes as you see fit to keep it balanced out. the nutes that are already in MG are good for 3 months, so if youve been growing for 3 months and you have a deficiency, add your own nutes, but be very careful. MG is really really hard to keep balanced because its a fuckin piece of shit soil to grow with IMHO. I thought several times that it was great, but each time i got happy with my plants, they just said "FUCK YOU DUDE, IMA GET SICK AGAIN - WUT THE FUCK U THINK ABOUT THAT BUDDY?" , n just fuckin started to look like some down syndrome plants for a little while. If your still early in your flowering, i say transplant into some regular soil.

No way am I using miracle grow next time!!! What would you recommend for food for the remainder of this grow? Should I add food along with the cal/mag? The plants are 4 1/2' tall, are they too old to transplant?

I'd TP it to a slightly larger pot w/the same MG soil as you started with. Maybe an inch wider, 2-3 inch deeper planter? Use a paint stirrer type thingy to pack the soil down the sides, if you can't reach there w/hands.

OK, first I would like to say thanks for everyone's input. I have tried finding some cal/mag in like 5 different stores in the area and no one can help. (I wish I could walk into a store and say "Help, my PotPlants are sick and I need help" but I cant) Anyways I have run a soil test and the Nitrogen, Phosphorous and Potash levals are all low. I will NEVER use f*&*%*$ Mericle Grow again. So my question is this, being that I cant get cal/mag and I really don't want to transplant at this stage will these foods help.

1. is Schultz, All Purpose Plant Food 20-30-20
2. is Schultz, African Violet Plus 8-14-9

I am gonna be watering either tonight or tomorrow so I have to have made up my mind by than. I have also included 2 pics. The first one was taken 9-24 at around 3pm or so. The other one was taken today 9-24 around 3pm. It is a pic of the same leaf showing the change for the worse...

I read that someone somewhere on the internet posted a good comet about "Schultz, All Purpose Plant Food 20-30-20" for growing Marijuana in the flowering phase. However I have also read really good things about "Peters, African Violet" Now, I know that I don't have Peters, I have Schultz, I'm just wondering if they are basically the same thing.

ok heres whats up. those numbers are N.P.K. (nitrogen/phosphorus/potassium)
for veg you need 30-15-15 flowering - 15-30-30. so since u have 20-30-30 use that and no the african violet is NOT the same thing :leaf:
