Ok so i let my freind transplant one of my baby's and while he was doing it he cut the plant off before the root. He then re planted it about 2 inches deep and still has about 5 inches out. Can it still live?

depends how thick ur stalk is haha and how old your plant is

Well it was under at least 6 inches of soil and and had 5inches above and it got cut at the bottom inch id say. Its in soil and still up. But its done isnt it???

When you say baby do you mean it's just a sprout that needed to be transplanted or like one of my babies thats 3 foot tall and needed to be transplanted and he cut the roots off. If's it's a small plant(couple of inch's) it might be worth a shoot to try and treat it like a clone. Put some rooting hormone on the stem and put it back into the soil and see if you can gets roots to regrow. But if it's a deccent size plant I think your screwed. Your better off chopping it up into a bunch of clones and hope some servive. Thats what I would do if it was a big plant. Make a bunch of clones out of it.

OK see you just posted while I was. LOL. I would treat it like a clone and try some rooting hormone sence it is a small plant. See if you can get the roots to regrow. Better then just letting it die.

same thing just happened to me. I jsut put it deep into a dwc tank and hope it keeps gorwing. It is a small clone.
