It can, but it has to do with the banana peel and the way it decomposes faster but releases a lot of this chem in the air
other fruits do this much slower and not as much is released

ALL fruits and vegetables release Ethlene..have you ever seen those Tv commercials for those special "green" bags that release this gas..thus keeping produce much fresher,for longer??Ethylene helps them ripern faster..it has something else that makes cannabis seeds feminised...aw good ol' ethylene..

if you want to go straight to the source, i know there is an ethylene solution you can buy. you just soak the seeds in that and it is supposed to leave you with female seeds.

Man,why bother buying or ordering some expensive shit,when you can do it at home for only a few bucks worth of bananas??Just make sure you can find a way to seal all the Ethylene with the seeds..

True you could just stick to the banana method, but I can still see the advantages of having a bottle of it, one being that it is purified and will go a long way, if you grow a lot that is.

I guess my point is that if either method were free, I'd choose the solution.

but use the bananas as long as we still have them, the same fungus that killed the better tasting naners is back! (apparently, according to my genetics prof)

oh man, ive heard all about the banana's fate in the future. it will be a truly sad day when the last banana "splits".

Can someone go into what is happening to bananas ? Are they going to become extinct? Should I be trying to grow a bananna tree in my house or something?

i have two MENDO SKUSH and a HAZE seed that iv been thinking aboiut trying this on...
