ok, so im about to start my first real grow. i ordered some mandala #1 seeds about a week ago (hopefully they get here). what i was thinking about doing is starting my grow here in my dorm for a few weeks before school lets out so i can get the vegging taken care of and then flower at my house over the summer. so i want to make a really stealth vegging box. i was thinking along the lines of a rubbermaid box like i have seen done before, but a little different. i found this rubbermaid tote thats really heavy duty so i can mount some cfl's on the inside (on the underneath side of the lid) and line it with mylar without having the light shine through the walls or cracks. i think i have it almost figured out, except for the ventilation part. i cant figure out how to ventilate it and still have it look like an ordinary storage box. i dont want to have a big fan sticking out. so let me know if you have any ideas. thanks

p.s. do u think its a really bad idea to grow in my dorm? it wont smell much if im just gonna veg them, will it?

make sure that box has a raised panel in the bottom of the box that you could put a fan in and still get the air to move when the box is on the floor, thus fixing the fan problem put the vent holes close to the top on the sides where they would be hidden, then get some carbon air filter refills ($10 at walmart) and use those over the holes to block the light and the smell you may need to double them up. You may be able to smell them durring veg.

thats a really good idea, what kind of fan should i use? do u think a couple computer fans would suffice?
