So i threw a few seeds in with a house plant i have just to see what would happen. The plants are growing , they have been for about 3-4 weeks. I dont do anything but water them, i dont mess with lighting or soil. Im in upstate ny so its a lil colder rainer, they are gowing on a window inside my house.

What can i do to make this smokeable with some potency...
i dont care about getting the perfect potency.

Also since i dont want these suckers to grow to be 3 ft high or anything, i need them to be less than a foot in length to be able to concel them.

Is this possible, everyone gets so technical and complicated on this site. Its a plant it grows, people have harvested and smoked it for hundreds of years without false lighting and all that jazz. I mean worst comes to worst i didnt spend any money on this so i dont care.

There has got to be some basics...
any clues?

well for what your asking. Just throw water on it and chop it down everytime it grows over a foot.Just kill them your not interested in putting in the time and work.Some things you just have to do.You need lights and gonna need dark cycles for 12 hours and you sound like thats too much trouble good luck

I have tried to grow like this before (several times) without success. Without proper care they will die. Either stretch and fall over and die or die from something else.
We know weed has been around at least 3500 -4000 years.
When it is outside in a suitable enviorment nature will take care of it for the most part.
To grow inside you must take on the roll of nature.

I also did the same thing as this dude. I threw some seeds out back in my yard in a pot. 3 grew in the same pot. 2 eventually died. I knew squat about light cycles and just left it up to mother nature. Also watered with regular chlorinated tap water. I ended up with a skinny little MALE plant. I got zero in return for my minimal efforts.

What I've learned that's most important is one plant per pot, lots and lots of light, 18 hours of light during vegging, 12 hours of pure darkness during flowering and it's critical you feed your plants some quality ferts and nutes. You can leave the plant to fend on it's own but you will get very little smokable bud in return and that's IF it turns out to even be a female.

since you already have seedlings this what U do..
put it inside a 5" planter (like $0.75 at big lots)
put some miracle grow potting mix in there (like $3.50)
and get a 24 pack of bottled water. (like $4.00 at wal-mart)

3 basic things a plant needs to survive = air, water, and light

get a fan blowing around to act like wind in nature, but do not let it blow directly on the plants so you dont give them wind burn, make it hit the wall first so that it will gently hit the plants. (air)

only water once a week, or when the soil is dry 2" down. check it by sticking a finger in the soil. if you water once a week, you will not over water the plants and you wont need to check the pH. (water)

Keep the plants in as much direct sunlight as you can, the more light the better, so if you have a lamp you could leave nearby the plants, they will love that, especially if its in ADDITION to the sunlight.. (light)

miracle gro will feed ur plants essential nutrients so U wont have to. (ferts)

Let it grow to be 6" and top your plants..if you dont know what topping is, search for it.

They will need to be flowering and have crystals on the buds before you chop and it will take about 2 1/2 months before you see any buds bcuz you are using sunlight.

People use indoor lights so they can control how fast the plant grows. By changing the light times you will see faster results..I saw buds 21 days after they sprouted bcuz I changed my light timers, but you cant control the sun so its gonna take longer for you.

lol..prop'd for that laugh..anyone who dont wanna put that little effort into smoking something beautiful is just an asshole, it doesnt get more simple than that. thats the laziest, most worthless, probably wont yield that much, simple ass method on the planet.

its basically just putting a seed and soil in a pot in the sunlight and watering it once a week.

if he doesnt wanna do that then I suggest he just smokes cigarettes...lazy motha..

You should prolly move to Columbia if you want to plant it and forget it. For starters if you are growing in ny you will have to wait until summer is over for them to bud. They should be about 10 ft tall buy then. Anyways if you want to grow some pot atleast get a good light. Read my grow guide. It doesnt get much simpler than that.
