I am currently germinating five feminized seeds and I'm wondering if once i start to grow if i should be misting. I know in the flowering stage it can cause bud rot so I'm thinking only during veg stage but I'm worried about my 400 watt MH/HPS going kaboom because of it. any info will help.

Mist if the lights are going to be off...Don't know if many peaple mist their plants indoors, burn leaves if lights are on.

I dont know how much difference it makes unless you're in and attic or someplace that's really dry. Absolutely don't do it around that light. I usually do the buds from time to time as long as you have fans on them and arent doing it every ten minutes bud rot shouldnt be an issue.

is misting even needed?

i mist (foilar feed) one hour before the lights go off.just move the plant or carefully avoid the lamp.misting/foilar feeding is best done when the temp is lower(68f).this is when the leave stomas are most open.spray under the leaves first then finely mist/feed the tops.you dont want any water dropletts/puddles sitting on the leaves as this causes a mirror effect with the light shining and can cause burn spots.i find it works great and you will see a healthy difference in the leaves.

No reason to mist. I got some floral feeding nutes for free. will never use them (well might for clones, only thing I mist) Leaves transpire water.

i've nothing to compare against as im on my first grow but i misted seaweed extract until flower ....wait for it....... WITH THE LIGHT ON

it was probably dumb but i took the chance didn't see any signs of it burning my plants and no lights went bang..but i know its not recommended SO DON'T DO IT as a rule of thumb

Spray/mist the plants 1 time in veg and 1 time before flowering. Its to wash off the leaves of dust and dirt.
