Yeah, and baking dirt probably isn't the wisest thing to do considering the odors that will be given off.

Even some soils you get from the store can contain eggs. I would suggest baking the soil just to make sure you have no problems in the future. I tried 1 soil grow indoors and got infested with these little flies. Come to find out they came from the soil. Good luck.

omfg. i had those little flies too. i just closed the bag and put it outside in the middle of the 110 degree sun lol. but never the less i bought new soil. haha.

I reuse my soil. After I am done with it. I run water through it to clean it out. Then I dump it out onto a trap and let it dry in the sun. I pull as much of the old roots out as I can. While it is on the trap I mix it up a couple times a day to make it dry faster. Usually in a couple of days it is dry and ready to be used again. I hate wasting stuff. I am all about reusing what I can. I'm a cheap ass I guess. LOL.

What odors? It smells like dirt we are not baking dog shit and you use a very low oven with the door open it just makes your place smell earthy.
