so i have a 600w. i am using my hand to see if the light is too close to the plant.

although i have my hand pretty close to the light and its not so much burning, just warm on my hand. i move my hand really close to the hps and it burns my hand.

can someone give me a rough idea how far u keep ur hps away.

the top of my plants havnt burnt. im just wondering if i could get closer, because obviously, closer i get the light without burning them the better.

edit: its just a reflector, not a cooltube

well yeah, don't get them TOO close lol... lumens go up like crazy the last few inches to the bulb...
