ok im new and i have been reserching and have found PH levels are very important. i dont really understand what PH is first off. whats the difference between dirt and water ph testers, plus i would like to know what i need and exactly what to do with it. please keep in mind im on a budget.

if youre growing in dirt, dont worry about ph testing. If u notice problems flush the dirt completely with water and rewater with reg strength nutes. if u follow the directions on the fertilizer youll be fine tho.

Does anyone know how much a cheap ph tester costs ?

you can get get an easy ph test kit, they use them for swimming pools costs like maybe $8. and it will last your for a long time. Once you know how much ph - or ph + to put in the water you really wont need to test ph anymore, water usually stays the same.

and then sometimes the tap water in your area after being ran through a filtration system and left to sit for a few days and nutrient enriched, just happens to be 6.2. luck of the irish i guess
