Should I Top My Grow?? (Need input)

This is my first grow. Started 12/12 from seed to now. Its been 3 weeks still no signs of male/female. If im going to top it should probably be now. The plants are 6 inches tall with 8 nodes. Is it safe to top them? Will it reduce yield? Should I do when lights on or before sleep? Just gotta hear what some exsperienced people have to say.

don't top them if you went 12/12 from seed, your plant should be just starting to produce now and you will deviate it's attention to healing rather than producing.

Topping is done before the plants are put into flowering. This is so the plant will repair the damage done while it is focusing on growth (i.e. vegging) instead of the plant trying to both repair the damage inflicted and develop flowers. If your plants are trying to flower when they are topped you will reduce your yield. Since you have kept your seeds on 12/12 from the beginning I'm not sure topping would be a good idea for you. Others may disagree though. Your plants have not sexed yet, after all, so maybe you still have a window of opportunity.

Yea, as bad as I want to top them, I dont think I will just cause 12/12 from seed. Within the next week they should start to show sex.
