Those are stipules not pistils they grow on every plant, pre flowers will be a little up and to the right and left of that spot(think the armpit of the branch).I thought mine were too, you should see em now 2 more leaf sets have grown since I thought that. I will be switching to 12/12 in a month no matter what they look like.
