SOG grow is easy in a flood table set up and very effective you can really pack the clones into these. I don't know about two pounds off a single 4x4 table but if you can get 1g per watt you are doing really well. You will need a high yeilding plant like big bud and some big mothers.

in a true s.o.g. you can fit 4 per square ft , all you have to do is prune off all growth on the lower third of the plant at the end od the 1st and 3rd week in flowering...and tadaaaa big ass colas.....not to mention a pound coming out every 2 weeks on that 4x4 of yours.
provided of course that you have a mother/cloning area.

Well it depends on how long you veg them you can't put them as close if they are bigger plants. Yes 1g per watt would be about 2 lbs (hard to get this though). I really don't know if you would be able to get that much off a single small table maybe two or three. The trick with a SOG is to get as many plants in the space as you can without them being a problem for each other. I can't tell you how many plants because I never counted. I did an AK-47/White Widow grow with flood tables SOG. The clones we put on the flood tables at 1 foot tall as many as could fit factoring in growing them to four feet. We could not put as many White Widows on a table because they tended to grow a bit shorter and bushier. We also ran string between each plant row to support the bud weight at a height of 3ft. The final height of the plants was about 4-4.5ft.

That is a good general rule but the great thing about flood tables is you can get them a bit closer together than that sometime almost twice as close as soil. So he might be able to pack up to 16 plants onto that little table.
