blood meal and bone meal

should i use bone and blood meal in my soil mix? if so how much of each would be best? i'm growing in 1 cubic foot pots? and does anyone kno whats a good soil that has a high amount of perlite?

I remember hearing the term "Blood Meal" before but what is it?.

i'm not sure i think its soil mixed wit dry blood or somethin lol
