the daylights are for veg (from GE they come in a package with blue labeling) and the soft whites for flower, as close the plat as possible. Get some wind goin in there and you should be able to put more lights without worrying about the heat. If you get one of each, and plug them in next to eachother, you should be able to tell wich is daylight and which is soft white. The daylight is more blue, soft white more red. If you cant find the specific labling of "soft" or "daylight", i suggest doing what I just said. NOTHING smaller than 23 watts, I went with 3 45's ( i think it was, the really fucking big ones) and seh came out like a champ. Heat is the biggest problem with those though, once they're all stacked around eachother, PC fans work great.
Ive used cfl's a couple times, small, personal grows, they're great for that. Anything big time though, look to the outdoors for the best effect.
