way too early. You would send any of those plants in shock. Cloning is the most traumatic experience any plant can go through.

What strain is it? Any idea? I've cut clones up that small before without much complaint.. Then again, I start my clones pretty small, so by the time they've grown to that size they have pretty decent rootballs.. Some ppl take cuttings the size of your plant.. Judging from the lower secondary growth though, I'd guess its been rooted for a bit already.. On the otherhand, if I had to GUARANTEE survival of the genetics with only that clone I might wait a little just incase there is an unkknown disease, or weak trait lurking..

Where did ya plan to take the clone from? Where on that plant?

I think he wants that teeny secondary growth he's holding in the pic.. I'd be more worried about that cut not rooting without extreme care to make sure the callusing sites get proper moisture contact.. I actually think he'd be ok topping the plant near the bottom of the pen cap if the plant is thriving right now..

like a week if you have good rooting jell. i have sum powder kind i bought from home depot and it toook about a week and a half and now there doing great

a clone should be between 4-6 sometimes up to 12in when you take them,bc 1-3in should be covered in rootin hormone to ensure plenty of roots and that it will survive easilly

let them grow untill thier are branches on it and is very healthy
