room tempeture and cold is fine... its the hot water that will kill your plants
general rule of thumb is to wait till soil gets dry then water untill you have run off coming from the bottom of the pot... normally every 4 or so days... and feed them every other watering... start with 1/4 amount of recommended dose and see how they react then go from there
dont give your plants nutrients untill they big enought to take it... like a month old

cool thanks for the advice, i was thinking that since heat makes things expand i was like maybe it would make the roots get bigger to prevent plant leaning.thanks again

Room temperature water is best because your plants are in that environment already. Changing their environment suddenly can lead to shock. If you were using soil as a medium then that would depend on the container size, plants needs ( strains categorized as indica, sativa, or hybrid indica/sativa ), lighting source, air quality, and temperature. Since I use CO2 enrichment in both vegetative and flowering stages, I find myself watering my plants in vegetative state every 2 days and then feeding them every two days. In the flowering state they require every other day watering and every other day feeding.
