600w hps how far from tips (pics)

im using a afgan female to test my grow room as i have more plants from seed and want to find out if its a good set up ive put 3 pics of my plant thats 2 weeks into flowering i have the 600w hps about 3 feet from the tips and wonderd if theyll burn under the light the temp is bout 85 can top 90 if its a warm day any views on how far they should be from bulb

A bit blurry, but it doesn't look like any heat stress on the plants. It does look like they've been over/under watered though, there's uniform drooping. It looks to me like you can and probably should move the light closer. 3ft is pretty far (IMO). Aim a fan at the light so the air passes over the tops of the plants, it helps a lot. If you can place the back of your hand just over the top of the plants without it being too hot for your hand, you should be fine.
