i don't think this thread will last

ok i want to have a bit of a rant if i may.


ok so today i come to post in my journal only to find that when i went to post a page came up with all sorts of daft rules. like the censorship of P.M's and E-mails.

when i came here to RIU i felt welcome and uninhibited, i seldom swear i have an articulate mind and can think of a multitude of words to express myself. but i should have the choice of which word i use. this is an adult forum and we should feel we can express ourselves as we see fit. if we do enrage people by what we say that is when the mod's should step in and make a judgement.

how exactly are they going to implement the rule on P.M's, the only way i see is to screen the P.M for unwanted content. does not P.M stand for Private message. it's in the name PRIVATE. loose translation is that which is not seen. if we can not send a P.M containing what we want WHATS THE POINT?

I have made many friends on here and i am disappointed in this flagrant abuse of power. it is turning into a dictatorship rather than a community, there are a lot of people on here stuck they don't want to leave because of friendships that have been forged, but want to leave because they don't agree with the admin's mono logistical views,

RIU has become a communist state. we are no longer allowed to be individuals but have to conform to these new rules or lost our journals and friends.

my last point for now is that we can not post link's to other cannabis forums but ROLLITUP expects us to link to here. if you don't believe me check out his signature.

He expects us to bring traffic here but not to link to our other favourite site's and information.

I would like to know your views on this.

I frequent other forums but rollitup.org has a lot of great info to for the smaller growers and theres info that I get from other forums that has a lot more information maybe not pertaining to growing but as far as breeding and genetics goes has a lot of info that I would love to share from there but we can't link it and I'm not gonna post someone elses work over as my own.

Ridiculous. Just like every other public venue in the world, RUI needs clearly stated rules... or some people will make it very uncomfortable for the majority of others to frequent this site. For example: Most people don't come here to be insulted. Another example: I saw someone spamming one of the forums today. You think everything should be allowed? Please.

It is all about respect. The rules are there for a reason. Things have been getting out of hand and therefore we need to remind members of the rules is all. This thread is now closed.
