Default Carbon filter question

I am growing in a box that has 2 holes punched in it. One hole is for my intake fan and the other is for my exhaust fan. Both fans are old computer fans. Right now there is no odor but im just trying to plan ahead. If I get a piece of activated carbon filter could i cover my exaust hole with it would this be effective? Im only working with 3 seedlings in a small space. I plan on flowering them once they are about 1 foot tall. Any suggestions are helpful.

try it and see. you may need to upgrade to a better exhaust fan depending on the airflow through the filter

try putting something else in there that smells alot to test it, better to know beforehand than to be trying to fix a problem later
