First Time Hydro Water Culture Grow

This is my first grow with a Hydroponics Water Culture (Reservoir System).
Haven't built my system yet but have managed to finish the most of my grow box from a converted large speaker.
Am using three computer type fans, one for exhaust, one for extracting air and a smaller one hanging and pointing at the lights (keeps them rather cool to the touch). Fans are all wired to a usb plug i splice and it provides adequate power to these fans without dangers of fire and only need a single plug for my lights. Will be adding in a reflective material soon.
My set up also include a webcam mounted on the side of the box to monitor the temperature and what the plants look like. A digital pH reader that constantly updates would be a neat addition, but that is later on.
Ordered seeds on the 12th, paid by money order and haven't received a confirmation back from Seed Boutique, hope all is well.
Ordered Bubbilicious 10 pack, not sure if i get anything free but everyone else seems to get em.
Believe I will be using either Rockwool or a 50/50 mix of perlite and verm.
Anyone with experience with this method? And or experience with Seed Boutique? And tell me what you think of my set up and ideas, and what I can do to improve the situation. There are more pictures of this set up in my profile stuff, give it a check out, there's also two vids.

I was worried about the seeds I ordered so I contacted mr.\mrs. gypsy and was going to cancel my money order and pay by credit card. Gypsy suggested to wait longer and called me a ninja. I responded with a nice message agreeing to wait and he replied by adding more freebies to my order. Must say if all goes well Gypsy has my vote for a great seedbank and great service.

wow, looks like it's gonna be a good one. i cant wait to follow your grow. so hope you get some good seeds. sorry i cant help but i'm on my first grow so i am new to this. i shall keep an eye on this tho so i can learn for my second grow. good luck man

Got anxious waiting for the bubblicious so I got a clone from a friend, not sure the strain but just giving the 50% done grow room a quick go.

nice setup, like the idea of it. not got any experience with that seed bank. depending where ur from then u cant go wrong with dr.chronic. i used pickandmixseeds.co.uk u can buy just a single seed if u want, i bought a single fem super silver haze but it didnt germinate

although there service was fast as hell.

hope u get ur seeds thou, u should be able to get setup fully when they arrive.

i think i fell in love with that site you sent
i had been searching for something like this for days now
Why get a 100$ pack o seeds when you can spend ten on one feminized seed right
i always get mine to germinate though, so hopefully i would get the same result of a germinated seed

keep watching! it will look much better when I get these seeds

If you haven't built that system yet, check out my grow, it is basically the same thing without the hassle of a floating platform.

A couple critiques if I may:

Hang your lights about 2 inches from you plant and keep it that way. The first plant me and my buddy grew we just stuck a light way above it and it turned out really stringy. My new setup I keep the lights almost touching and I have bushes!

I don't know what light you have exactly, but I've tried a few CFL's and the ones the plants like the most (clearly all lean towards the same ones) are from HD and were about $7. They are "100w" CFLs made by invision (? the brand is something like that). It is a very "white" light and is supposed to be like daylight. Every other bulb I have tried next to them seem more yellow.

Use FF nutes. They rule.

Don't line your grow cab with black. Black absorbs light. Your best bet is a High Gloss White. Krylon makes some great spray paints for this, but make sure you properly air out the cabinet (trust me fumes kill). The best thing you can use is mylar, obviously.
