New Growroom In Progress [Pics]

Hey folks,

I just harvested a few weeks ago and decided to improve my grow room a little. Sooo... after the last plant was plucked, I tore the old room down and began construction of anew. I'll be reusing some of the old equipment, as well as adding a fair bit of new goodies. Here's what I have to work with:

Since my basement is not finished, the rafters provide me with an excellent opportunity to construct a sturdy room. I begin by erecting an outline of the room with 2x4s.

...making sure to keep the ballasts outside to decrease heat.

The 2x4s were then covered in 5mil black & white poly, and a door was created using an adhesive zipper strip.

For the flooring, vinyl will be used. It's gonna be a bitch laying it flat :<

Anyways, that's what I've accomplished in the last two days. I've still got electrical work, plumbing, ventilation, and overall setup of the flowering room to do, as well as the whole veg room. There will be plenty more pics, and even a grow journal (when it's done), coming soon, so keep watching.

Well, today was a slightly productive day. I hung the water filter unit and temp/humidity gauge up and placed the vinyl. Then I duct taped all around the room, covering up staples and any holes that could cause air leaks.

Since I have two unused exhausts running along my ceiling, I decided to cut one short and throw a fan on it to exhaust my hood. So, when I hang my hood up, I will have the fan pulling air from outside the room, through the hood, and push it back outside.

really dont know what your surrounding light will be outside your flower chamber but those zippers dont work.i have the same zippers but what i ended up doing was running a additional flap of black and white with velcro as fastners down the doorway.also staple a couple of skate laces to your header there and you have a way to hold it up to service your room.hope this helps!!!! great set up !!!
