Thumbs up My BackYarden
Hey Everyone !

I know its well late into the season at least where I live, however there are still some vegetables that I can get away with planting this week and still get a harvest into early October depending on weather. Originally in my back yard we didn't have a garden just a spot where it was planned to be and a huge pile of old dirt in the way. So for the past 3 or 4 days after work I'd get out there and dig and pick root after root after root out of the ground to make it remotely fertile and nice. When I got that all finished I mixed in a large (3.8 cubic feet) bag of BM1 pro soil from home depot. I followed that up by putting a cheap metal fence around the garden to keep my dog and other wild animals out and then some pieces of wood around the border for looks only.

Thats a front view of my nice little garden. Now for the plants well seeds that have been put in. The back left has 4 Beef Steak Tomato seeds, The back Right has 2 Cucumber Seeds planted. In the front/middle on the left I planted about 8 Little Marvel Peas and then on the right hand side I sprinkled a bunch of herb seeds (Thyme, Oregano, & Basil)

The next 2 pictures are a closer front view and then a view from the side. Thats about all there is, I'll be taking pictures quite often as things happen and if there is interest in this thread I will continue to update it. Otherwise feel free to PM or post to me anytime and I'll happily respond to anything and everything Here are the 2 pics..

...and side view

Thanks for stopping bye, Any input or Opinions are MORE THAN WELCOME

For two years I grew Heirloom tomatoes peppers and herbs. Its alot of work to collect and dry all the seeds for next years palntings so. NEVER again too much work and not enough yield. Better to just buy regular plants from garden center next year.

Green onions grow really fast, you could probably get some of them in too if you like. Rabbits don't like onions, it helps keep them away.

Some of my herbs reseed themselves the next spring, did you ever try that? Lot easier and cheaper that way.
