I've never grown anything before but I got a basil plant from ASDA the other day, I put it on the window sill in the kitchen where it can get lots of light and ive been watering it every other day but it looks really unwell. I can't get a picture up but it's really drooping over and the leaves although nice and green they look floppy too can anyone suggest anything to help? It's only in a small plastic tub that it came in.

I would repot it. Basil shouldn't cause any difficulty.

i think your over-watering it if it has good color but is droopy. i would also sugest repotting, then wtering a bit less.
