Is there a difference in the types of cloves used in kretek cigarettes and just the regular herb "clove?"

i think the words krektek and clove are synonymous. "krektek" is just the crackle sound a clove makes when you light it. unless i dot know what an "herb clove" is.

Yeah they're the same kind just chopped up finely and they add some like flavor "sauce" to them which make them oh so yummy haha. Don't know how people smoke regular cigs bleh.

I ground up some cloves and mixed them into some rolling tobacco. The taste was very similar to a kretek, along with the anaesthetic abilities.
