I was wondering how other plants feel about lighting?

tomatoes
peppers
cucumbers
lettuce
any other veggie i might be able to grow in a hydro garden

I know marijuana loves light, but i think I herd that some plants dont like having all that light and would rather just be like sit in a window. Are things like light temperature(6500K vs 2700k) and light scheduling the same?

I've seen someone put up a thread on growing Cucumbers in a hydro set up. Tomatoes have pretty much the same requirements as Cannabis.
