I have been thinking about growing some plants indoors to help improve air quality/smell in my home. I was wondering what kind of plant would be best for indoors. I would like something that is easy to maintain, but most of all something that doesnt need alot of light. Any suggestions?
I dont care if it is something big... I have a plastic plant that is 5 feet tall and I really like it!! something like that would be cool!!!

Yeah thats pretty much what I did. I yahoo searched for it and got a ton of websites who just want to sell me something. I was wondering if anybody out there had a nice indoor plant and would share some info on it with me.
I have seen a nice ficus tree but I think that might be too small. Maybe something 4 feet tall.... any suggestions. Thanks for all your help. Also... does it really help the indoor smell? Do you have one plant or more? I think 3 or 4 would be nice because my house is kinda big.

ferns are a good indoor plant. They don't need much light, but you have to sweep around them often.

Ya spider plants and most tropicals are easy to keep. I have a plam tree, not sure what kind and only have to water it like every 2 to 3 weeks.
African violets are pretty easy too, but they do like to be in a window. I have lots of vines too, not sure of names though sorry. Just go to your local garden store and they will ehlp you select some suited for your environment. Good luck.

Thanks for all the ideas.. That spider plant looks pretty wicked. I think I will buy some seeds instead of fully matured plants... I really enjoy having a greenthumb.
Im hoping that having a few plants around the house will liven things up a bit and also keep the air fresh.
