Default Indoor lettuce grow box

i tried growing some lettuce with a wide hempy bucket, but it didn't work out too well.

i'm trying a floating lettuce/dwc setup with a small mylar'ed grow box. it's got a little 50W HPS light from homedepot and a homeade flashing+mylar batwing reflector.

i'll post more pics as the seedlings get bigger.

the last pic is an outdoor flood/drain tomato garden, just starting to flower.

Use blue spectrum lights for growing lettuce. I read somewhere that lettuce will go directly to seed (or at least it will have a very short veg cycle) if it's grown under a HPS, but not under a MH.

I've been looking for a cheap MH light but haven't found anything yet. They haven't bolted on me yet, but the growth definitely hasn't been as good as I hoped.
