(told by my mom a long time ago) my mom had gotten an avocado from her school teacher whi owned an avo farm, she brings it home to her dad, my grandpa, and he punctures nails into it and places it over water, putting water on the seed almost daily, after rooted, he transplants to soil, and when he thought was right plants it next to his concrete wall. as a kid i had fun picking the avos from it, and so had my mother. one avo, one tree, 150+ avo per year(that i can remember, usually over 150)...clostest avocado tree was 300 feet or further away, little to no insects to help pollenation. my aunt had it cut down this year. i guess we got a great seed. my family has a history in having a green thumb tho... RIP 2 my fav avocado tree and my only entertainment when at my grandpa's as a child LOL(no offense grandpa)
