hey guys, one of my first posts (well first thread at least). Anyways, I transplanted a young tomato plant in a DWC bubble bucket about a month or so ago to test it and so far I've had no problems besides very mild nutrient burn at first which was gone soon after I flushed it. Anyways, now it's been under a 400watt Hortilux HPS bulb for almost 2 weeeks, and about a week ago I started noticing the leaves on some of the lower nodes were curling up. The new growth on the top looks great (and still does), except te lower things are starting to look worse and it's slowly spreading it looks like. The lower leaves are starting to get faint yellow spots on them and the first leaves that were hit have leathery bloches that are still green (more faint) that seem dried out. I don't know what it is, not sure if it's a disease or what. Anyways thought you guys might be able to help, sorry for all the reading haha. Thanks

The roots look super healthy, and the only smell is the funky "earthy" smell from my nutes. It seems the problem isn't as big as I originally though, if it even is a problem. I think they branches are just kinda naturally dying, I'm going to trim up the plant and get rid of all the problematic looking stuff. It needs some pruning anyways.

Happens all the time ....
-reset the nutes...(I change mine every 2 weeks...) -ph adjust ... what is the distance from the plant to the light .... with the 400 in a jam setup ... the light decay gets to be to much for the lower leafs to keep going ... perhalps you need some suplimentary lighting ... around the base area..... (if the leaves are that important) hope that helps |

Ehh turned out to be a bacterial infection or fungus, not quite sure. I kinda stopped caring about the plant and let it go since it was just an experiment with a DWC, but it has developed black spots on lower leaves and it's severely wilted. Also all the flowers are falling off after they fully open up, but before making any fruit. Oh well

Now when the humidity was way off I had seen flowers look normal, yet where the base of the flower joins the stim you will see some yellowing / thining of stim and they drop. Seen it in soil and hydro when my humidity was super low, like around 15-20%. Up north in the winter without the humidifer that can happen pretty quickly. Better luck next time.
