Hey yall. I know it would be stupid to grow my special plants in my work area but since my warehouse has so many 400 watt mh bulbs buzzing over me i was wondering if it would be a good idea to make use of them for flowers or veggies. I could put a medium size plant maybe 5 ft away from the bulbs and it would get a 10 hr light schedual. am i insane or what?

Years back there was a bunch of yo yo's who worked at a Ford factory in my town,they decided it was a great idea to set up grow rooms in the basement of the factory,using company power & lights,the cop's snatched them up,they all lost their jobs plus whatever the judge sentenced them to.

Unless you got a bullshit job that you dont give a fuck about dont do it.

the lights are probably too high to grow plants, unless you have a 4 foot ceiling.

well like i said im not gonna grow weed, just some flowers or plants.
i have high racks and the ability to reach it at anytime. i dont know if it'll be worth it instead of just putting the plants outside.

IF... you have the permission of your employer, you can get the plants up to about 18 inches from the lights and you are not growing pot... sure! Actually the plants will love having 400watts of MH light all around them all day, though they will need atleast 16 hrs of light during veg; the 10 hrs only will probably work during the flowering stage, but they will also need pitch black during lights out time.

well thats the question im asking. will it be worth it to put them there when theyre only gonna get 10 hours of light. Plus its summertime and id probably get better results by just putting it outside..
