Default Tomatos
alright people
i am an accomplished marijuana grower and am looking to expand my gardens variety a little bit. i hear tomatoes are alot like cannabis. from the research i have done i guess there are alot of different "strains" of tomato if you will, the lighting cycle is similar and you can take clones from tomatoes as well.. i have a few questions though. if someone with some experience would be kind enough to elaborate that would be nice.

do you have to remove the male plants from the garden like you do with cannabis?

do they use similar lighiting cycles? do they have a vegitative cycle and that go into flowering or do they just auto flower?

do cannabis and tomatoes use similar nutrients and have similar ph needs?

i plan on starting a bunch of plants from seed indoors and planting them outdoors when it warms up a little bit...

well cloning tomatos is easy, same as cannabis.

light cycles i'm not sure, most seed pack say like 70 days to harvest so idk if its a time thing or lighting,

tomatos are all both sexes and you need them both to make fruit. every single plant will produce fruit(providing its not massively damaged)

as to nuts, pick up some tomato ferts at walmart, everything you plant will love them, high in nitrogen(usually very high).

make sure your seedling are over 6 inches tall befor you move them outdoors, or bugs/animals will DEVOUR them.

best of luck with them, they are pretty easy to grow, and Very resilient.

I start tomatoes indoors under 24 hour light cycle.
Put them outdoors after all danger of frost in your area.
When transplanting bury the stem deeply (past the first set of leaves) to provide stout thick main stem after the transplant to containers or in ground.
Depending on the strain(s) you choose you will see the fruits forming shortly after you see the little flower blooms. If there are deer in you area, it is best to fence the plants in.
Tomatoes are super easy and fun to grow.
Good luck

The guy at the growshop i frequent says that the nutes i use, hesi, is perfect for tomatoes. Hesi is a "specific" plant fertilizer company, but the requirements he said are almost similar to mary, and he said to use a bloom solution and maybe add organic form of nitrogen if necessary
