    Default saveing the CALALILYS !

    Hi i have a bunch of calalilies( hope thats spellad right) in the spring i replanted them outside. i loved there floqers from 2 years ago and they havent reflower .so when i replanted them outside and they grew huge! Lovly but never bloomed. i think somtimes these sorts of plants take an extra year to bloom , but thats ok . i heard that the bulbs would have to come on for the winter? I hope there not that typ of plant . but i dont know. so thats my question.. will i have to bring in my bulbs?they got such nice root development. what do i do!!!

    callaillies are semi tropical. if you are from ny you may lose them depending on where they are planted in your garden, the exposure, and the severity of the coming winter. If you don't want to dig them up you could try plenty of mulch for added protection. I did a little reading. Most spp come from s. Africa. good luck with your callas

    Thank you! yes im in n.y. and there in a spot where alot of wind comes through. i think its a great i dea to maybe realy cover them with mulch and uncover in the spring?. i do have bag of mulch.and rep for you when i get on my p.c. thanks again...
