Default Ever try this?
I read of a technique when growing tomatos that said to remove all but three to four leaves per plant. It said the plant will grow more fruit rather leaves.

I havent ever gone to that extreme but do usually remove the bottom 4 branches after they show signs of yellowing.. not sure why they always yellow, but to remove them allows for better air movment around the base
and thats a good thing. If you got enough plants you could alwaus try one, but to be honest with you they grow so quickly I dont think chopping and chopping would be wise. Now I heard you get better matos from using red plastic orund base, or just using red things around the plants. My Grandmother would always tie red hankerchieves around the plant on the cage and such. She swore by it, and always did very well though she could grow anything very well to be honest with you. Let us know how it turns out if you try it. Peace
