We have about 2 dozen different types of flowers, then Green Beans, cucumber, tomatoes, various herbs in the window, Peppers, lettuce, and a few other things. Our little back yard is pretty full up, in a few months I am planning on building a very strong patio cover and doing the whole green roof thing to it so I can grow up there.

Kepp Rue away from Basil and Sage, it's also a skin irritant, so be careful with it.

Hops are very close to cannabis (same family) but grow as a vine. Most of the time you get root to start the plant so you know the sex. Only female hop plants make buds. Also end of season you have to dry them out. Many kinds of hop roots you can buy online, little late to start outside but they do come back every year more and more like grapes.
I am currently growing a long list of eatable (cooking) herbs toms/peps/hops all outside. Have a few in those upside down baskets, very cool how the plant flips itself over (photo below). Every year the garden gets a little better I think.

A large assortment of other herbs (thyme, rosemary, basil, sweet basil,...)
I'm thinking about making room for 1 more vegetable or spice.. there have been some really interesting things I've read over the course of the 5 pages.
Any suggestions as to what will grow the BEST side by side with my other plants ??

Full lifetime organic gardener . . . this year, mainly taters, maters, green beans and un-juns.
