whent to the garden center to buy stuff for the garden, and we got to the seed section. and every year i hide about 30 packets of seeds . flowers. and hide the packets inbetween the compost. so we dont have to pay.
anyway i always pick the most exp. and i picked up some bird of paradise, seeds 10. they were the most exp. seeds in the shop. anway i brung them home, and tryed to germ.
i had to soak then pull of this orange thing off the seed.
and wait 6 months to germ.
2 out of 10 are now growing.
there about 7" and two years old.
has anyone ever grown bird of paradise before.
and if so, what are the like. how tall ect.

hasnt anyone ever grown.b.o.p. before, i no nothing about the plant,in its younger 2 years. i took 7 months to germ. and its took nearly two years to grt about 7 1/2 ".
i dont think i would have survived the english winter, would it?. ive got it in the kitchen window.

It is a tropical plant, that could take up to 5 years to see the first flower.

Re-read my entry please. When I wrote 'herb' I meant our own crops. I was not referring to the stolen seeds at all.
