    Default Upside-down tomatoe planters, work w/ mj?

    I love to garden edibles, chiefly cherry tomatoes. Last summer I grew some tomato plants in a 5 gal bucket, but they were suspended in the air, growing downwards/upside down out from the bottom of bucket (intentionally). I'm sure you've seen this kinda thing advertised b4 & it works great. My question is, has anyone tried growing weed like that? Just to satisfy my curiosity. I don't plan on attempting it till cultivating weed is no longer a crime. Just wondered if pot would work the same way? and I thought, that way, indoor growers in cali or canada could possibly maximize their light efficiency. I'm environmentalist and hate to see wasted energy, even if i'm not the one participating

    This is a good question...My father in law has one of those toppsy turvey things and I think that I am going to give it a try...Ill give it back to him with some swagger seed in it...Ill tell him I put some kind of killer tomato in there. lol this guy is a idiot...he would believe it lol. No for real though I think that I am going to snagg it and see what would happen.

    I grew like this last year. got about a half ounce of of the plant and it tasted like dirt. The sister clone to it that was grown right below it in the ground made nine ounces with the same dirt, light and nutes. The plant never really seemed to be very healthy looking always kinda light green compared to her sisters. I think i have some pics of her ill try to post up later( gotta dig through a couple thousand pics).
    All drugs should be legal and tax based on the percentage of death per drug.

    very interesting. Thats a pretty conclusive and controlled experiment then. Wonder if certain strains would respond better to growing upside down? If i lived in amsterdam, or even cali maybe, I would breed a plant that did well upside down, calling it "gravity" or something clever. And keep breeding the one that did the best, until I had a stable plant that produced effectively. Thanks again.

    im sure some strains would respond better. I think alot of it is that the main root ball is at the wettest part of the pot and the main stem seems to stay a little too wet. Im gonna try a few things to help it this year and I think im going to try one in the top and one in the bottom kinda like a ball of bud.

    Yes they work a guy has them going in his trailer and it was very productive so i would say give it a try and let us see how it goes

    those things are all over socal on balconies i have seen some pumping out tomatoes so worth a shot why not.
