Default Japanese acers and bird of paradise
i have just got a new japanese acer do they like full sun partial shade or a shady place to grow in heres some pics of my bird of paradise hope you like em

It depends on what type of Japanese Acer it is as to how much direct sunlight they can tolerate. I would probably put them in partial direct sunlight, maybe a lightly shaded area. But there are different types of Japanese Acers. I had one that received lots of sunlight and it did very well but had thin leaf blades, and I had another one with the dark red leaves that look like pot leaves and that one did well in a shaded area, but it was near a creek and beavers ate it up to pieces...

nice lookin one bro, mine have always gotten beat up from all the rain down south. they thrive and love it but look rotten from so much rain. http://www.worldplants.com/mapleintro.htm is one of the good sites i got off google, lots of info on the different zones n what they want.
