Looks like chile piquin. I've seen it called chile petin as well. It's native in central texas. The first one I ever saw was growing by the side of my house in Austin and it lived for at least 15 years before my neighbor cut it down as a weed! time to move. I love the peppers too.

i tried to find out what kind it could be exactly.... then i found that there are 100's of variety of bird pepper.... there are even a few websites selling seeds for unknown varieties... but these guys are hot as hell, and mine is almost at maximum size... a bush that size will produce 100's of these little peppers, great for drying and grinding like cayenne

my first year growing peppers, i went for the standard sweet bell pepper and and tokyo cayenne pepper.

would love too find some more exotic peppers too grow than these standard types.
UK is a pain too grow in and find nice decent looking plants/versions

Take out some of the seeds ... put the peppers in a processor and make a relish with some maple syrup(sterile/great shelf life) then boil..its great on hamburgers..etc..
