It is unseasonably warm in the uk at the moment so i have done a test pot of p.somniferum (pepperbox) and (gigantium) somniferum the giant.
If these sprout i am going to sow a load more in 5 gallon pots and then thin them out to maybe 3 or 4 a pot.
Additionally to this i will also be sowing some cherry glow somniferum and mixed somniferum in a flower bed.
Come september hopefully i will have a few dozen poppies to make a lil smoke of opium and some poppy tea.

ps. I know it takes at least a hundred poppies to make a g of cooked opium. However with these species they either yield high or have multiple pods so i should definatly have some at least.
