its just fun and cool to do. i just went up to the local stand and the guy handed me a plant that he grew about a foot tall. so i just want to grow it a little bigger and then clone it. for experence also. never hurts to pratice on other plants and get it down 1oo% before ruining perfect maryjane

id assum just like chronic, find a good branch with no flowers on it yet, clip it and do whatever process u want for cloning, a bubbler is usually the easiest and theres no need for rooting solution

I've cloned tomato by just taking a cutting with a top shoot, just like herb.
cut the stem at 45* under water. dip it in some gel or powder and put it in a rockwool plug or jiffy cup. keep it moist and warm and it'll root in 4-7 days.

no need for rooting hormone here. just fill a water bottle up with water, get a cutting off the plant, and stick it in. roots will grow out 4-5 days. replant in ground. will be wilted for a couple of days once in ground but they'll shoot right back up.

Wink You can clone tomatos
SO, forget what everyone else just told you. those were obviously all guesses. The internet is an amazing place, where, for instance, you can find out how to clone a tomato plant. Use a sharp blade. cut the sucker out of the crux of each branch. a clean cut is essential. Dip this cutting(or clone) into a rooting product of your choice. (liquid or powder) place the cutting in the rootcube, water, soil, or whatever fancy new thing that is popular these days...and ut a dome over it, keep it out of direct sunlight, keep it(as well as the soil) moist by misting, this is important because, without roots, your plant cannot obtain moisture, except through the leaves. by now you may know this as foliar feeding. And then, in a week or two when you are sure of the growth of roots, you can transplant. Now you can enjoy 3 or 4 plants instead of just one.

Why the heck would anyone ever want to clone a tomato?

why dont you ask yourself that question.

hope this actually helps, instead of merely critisizing.
