Default FF OF vs MG vs Coco Coir
This is a reverse thread about growing in different mediums. We always hear all the negative vibes about growing in MG and personally I think MG works but is not the most beneficial medium for marahootchie

What I did was plant cherry tomatos in all 3 growing mediums. As we already know:

Fox Farms Ocean Forest - One of the more recommended "soil" mediums for cannabis.

Coco Coir - Another form of hydro that is close to a "soil" grow and great for cannabis.

MG - One of the largest sellling commercial soils on the market and, well, you know all the drama with MG

Feel free to chime in at anytime but I am in the process of taking pics and uploading the results

Before you bash me, look at the catagory this thread is in....

Default All of them together
And finally, all of them together.

Just a little background. They were all planted on the same day from seed. All were watered and fed on the same schedule with the same nutes. (nutes were not given until the last feeding)

As you can see the MG out performed all the other growing mediums!!

Moral of the thread

MG IS DESIGNED AND WORKS BETTER FOR TOMATOS AND VEGETABLES!!!

Stick to what works and is designed for the plant you are growing. This goes for soil, nutes, water, ammendments....you name it

Thanks Ohso and snowTiger. Just felt like doing a reverse thread concerning the mediums we use. We always hear about what does and doesnt work with mj and all the comments that go along with it.
Here is the other side of the fence with pics to support the results. There may be more to come when I harvest the bazillion cherry tomatos. Maybe the FF OF will have a better taste? Who knows .....
